HI Aaraon,
There are no problems with Responsive version. However I will suggest you to buy tomorrow as I will be rolling the latest updates tomorrow for MyBB 1.8.13

You will have to save your modifications and once install the responsive theme, I will suggest you to create child theme.
Creating a child theme is always best theme so that you will not be affecting the original theme and can easily export your changes outside.

Awesome, I will be writing a small guide for adding child theme so that everyone can get benefit from that
