Orange theme Adjustments Required

Hi , 
First all of let me tell you its the most beautiful till date i have found for mybb : Great Job 

Now i have some requirements or rather adjustments to be made for the board 

the bg.png is by default 1920*300 so when i upload my image it becomes a bit stretched or pixellated 
my image is also 1920*300  
Is there a way to resolve the issue 
i am attaching my original banner and the screenshot of what happens to background is

* Also how to make the background clickable ?? so that mouse hover you can click and it takes you back to the home page ??

Also if we can decrease the size of the backgroud from 1320*700 to 700*100 that will be much clean imo , if yes how can we do that as well
